Malaysian Green Technology & Climate Change Centre (MGTC) in collaboration with the Ocean Conservancy, USA has organized the APEC Webinar Series titled “Innovative Funding Models & Opportunities for Land Based Waste Management” under Ocean & Fisheries Working Group (OFWG) in 2020.
This webinar project supports the APEC 2020 Malaysia priority on driving innovative sustainability and specifically the priority of promoting innovative waste management through circular economy models.
It also supports APEC Policy and Practice Recommendations on overcoming barriers to financing waste management systems to prevent marine litter in the Asia-Pacific Region endorsed by APEC Ministers in 2016 and the APEC Roadmap on Marine Debris endorsed by APEC Ministers in 2019.
MGTC was represent by Ts Shamsul Bahar Bin Mohd Nor, CEO of MGTC and Tuan Syed Ahmad bin Syed Mustafa to share some fruitful thoughts.
