Malaysia is taking bold steps toward reducing carbon emissions in the transportation sector. The launch of the Electric Motorcycle Battery Swapping System (BSS) marks a significant milestone under the AASCT project.
This 2-month pilot project, starting from the flag-off date, will collect valuable data and findings to evaluate the feasibility of battery-swapping technology. The insights gathered will guide the development of policy recommendations and strategic plans to support the large-scale adoption of electric motorcycles across Malaysia.
With 40 electric motorcycles and access to 29+ swapping stations in Klang Valley, the initiative addresses challenges like range anxiety and long charging times, paving the way for a sustainable future.
