Preserving Our Natural Heritage Yesterday, MGTC & NRES hosted the Malaysia Biodiversity Centre Townhall & Dialogue to explore the wonders of our nation’s rich biodiversity and discuss the vital steps needed to safeguard it. We heard sustainability stories from Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Westports Malaysia and Sarawak Biodiversity Centre.
In his talk, YB Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, reiterated the need to establish a national biodiversity centre to showcase the wonders of Malaysia’s biodiversity, offering people from all walks of life the opportunity to experience and deepen their understanding of nature especially among younger generations. The establishment of the centre will be realised through a government-private partnership
