MGTC is proud to announce the success of the 2023 Low Carbon Cities Award ceremony graced by the Minister of Natural Resources & Environmental Sustainability (NRES), YB Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.
YB Nik Nazmi emphasised the need for our country to remain dedicated and forward-thinking in addressing climate change challenges at every level.
“The government hopes that by the year 2030, Malaysia will achieve the target of establishing 200 Low Carbon Zones and 1,000 Low Carbon Partners across all 155 local authorities nationwide,” mentioned by YB Nik Nazmi.
The recipients of the award consist of local authorities (PBT) that have implemented greenhouse gas emission reduction initiatives through the Low Carbon Cities 2030 Challenge program. 85 Diamond Recognition, 2 Diamond Design, 15 Provisional Certificates, and 4 Special Awards are deservedly given to schools, universities, buildings, etc.
