According to the International Energy Agency, the industry is the world’s largest consumer of electricity, natural gas and coal, accounting for 42 percent of total electricity demand, equal to more than 34 exajoules of energy. This energy consumption carries high costs in the current inflationary environment as well as CO2 emissions.
MGTC, ABB Malaysia and Schaeffler Malaysia have organized an Energy Efficiency Symposium 2023 entitled, “Accelerating Industrial Energy Efficiency” to address, amongst others, topics such as Energy Management Gold Standard, MyHijau Mark, Green Incentives, Low Carbon Operating System, the technology of choice for achieving ultra-premium efficiency and the “invisible” levers for energy savings.
This symposium was attended by more than 70 participants from various backgrounds.
