Introduction

In a landmark event coinciding with Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship 2025 and the International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition & Conference Malaysia (IGEM) 2025, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES) and its implementing agency, the Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation (MGTC), are proud to host the Inaugural Kuala Lumpur Sustainability Summit 2025 (KLSS 2025): Inclusivity and Sustainability.

This premier summit will take place from October 14-16, 2025, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. A curated forum meticulously designed as a high-level forum, drawing inspiration from prestigious global gatherings such as the Khazanah Megatrends Forum and the World Economic Forum. It aims to convene over 400 top management and C-suite leaders from across government, think tanks, corporate sectors, SMEs, civil society, and academia. Attendees will engage with a distinguished line-up of local and global leaders, international thought leaders, policymakers, and experts who will share views, insights, perspectives, and experiences.

KLSS 2025 closing ceremony will be officiated by YAB Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia on 16 October 2025. The summit’s core discussions will center on critical aspects of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with content focus on:

SDG: Gender Equality
SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
SDG 13: Climate Action
SDG 15: Life On Land
